In my third year at the University St Andrews I chose a module in Film Studies titled 'Creativity in screen cultures: collaboration, labour and scholarship'. For our final assignment we were given the option to write a conventional 3000 word essay, or try our hand at making a 10 minute video essay. I jumped at the chance to learn a new skill and incorporate extra creativity into my academic work. 

I learnt the basics of Adobe Premiere Pro to edit the video shown below, and quickly realised I had given myself double the work as I wrote my script for the voiceover. However, I have no regrets about my decision as I still have Premiere Pro to this day and am currently teaching myself the rest of Adobe's Creative Cloud Software.

Although rudimentary, I am proud of this piece of work and will always appreciate the opportunity to work with a visual medium.
